Choose a court to count with its holiday calendar.
Add days forward from a trigger date (service, order, filing).
What is a court day?
The meaning can vary by jurisdiction and rule. Some systems use court days to exclude days when the court is closed. Read the source rule before selecting the count mode.
Are weekends excluded automatically?
Business-day mode excludes weekends and court holidays. Calendar-day mode counts every day. Court-holiday mode follows the app's court-holiday count setting.
Why do court holidays matter?
A filing date can move when the court is closed. State and local courts may observe holidays that do not appear on a generic federal calendar.
Court Rules Monitor provides deadline calculation tools for research and workflow checks. Verify critical filings against the applicable rule, order, and clerk instructions.
