The proposed order should be emailed to Division 8 chambers.

The email subject line should include the case number and case style, with the case number first.

Counsel may notify the Division 8 Law Clerk by email when a ripe motion has not yet been ruled upon.

If no pretrial-conference date was set at case management, the parties may contact the Division 8 Law Clerk at least one month before trial to schedule one.

The Division 8 Law Clerk may be contacted to arrange courtroom equipment setup or answer questions about pretrial matters.

The parties must provide the court and court reporter with a witness and exhibit list on the morning of trial.

The parties must number all exhibits consecutively in accordance with Local Rule 24.1.

The parties must provide the Court with printed clean and annotated copies of the proposed jury instructions on the first day of trial.

Copies of the proposed jury instructions must be sent electronically in Word or Word-compatible format to the Division 8 Law Clerk.

Each party represented by one or multiple attorneys of record must file a Designation of Lead Attorney of Record.

All motions and replies to motions should be submitted electronically to the Court Administrator's Office.

A courtesy copy of a motion requiring immediate attention may be emailed to the Division 8 Law Clerk.

All motions not requesting a hearing must be accompanied by a proposed order in Word or a Word-compatible format, which should be emailed to the Division 8 Law Clerk.

The proposed order accompanying a qualifying motion must be in Word or a Word-compatible format.

The Court will address the underlying request when it determines that a motion requires immediate attention.

Counsel may notify the Division 8 Law Clerk, preferably by email, when a ripe motion has not been ruled upon.

A continuance from a trial date will be granted only when good cause is shown.

A continuance application must be filed on or before the Wednesday of the week before the case management or pretrial conference and comply with Local Rule 34.2.

If an approved judgment cannot be filed before trial, the parties must file a continuance motion or appear on the morning of trial to request a continuance.
