**Magistrate Judge M. David Weisman** was appointed to the Northern District of Illinois on June 16, 2016. He currently serves as Chief Magistrate Judge. Judge Weisman earned his B.S. in Commerce with distinction from the University of Virginia and his J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. After graduation, he served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation for four years. He then joined Glasser & Glasser PLC in Norfolk, Virginia. He served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, working on a program that combated drug and gang activity in the Englewood and Bronzeville neighborhoods.
