**United States Magistrate Judge Andrew M. Edison** was appointed to the Southern District of Texas in 2018. Judge Edison serves in the Galveston Division and is described as a highly respected trial lawyer who appeared for 25 years in state courts, federal courts, and arbitration panels across the country. He worked as a partner at Bracewell LLP from 1994 to 2000 and again from 2002 to 2009, served as Senior Counsel at Enron Corp. in 2001, and was a founding partner of Edison, McDowell & Hetherington LLP from 2009 to 2018. He teaches legal courses as an adjunct professor at University of Houston Law Center (trial advocacy and remedies, 2002–2022 and 2024–present) and St. Mary's University School of Law (remedies and evidence, 2023–present).
