Clerk's exhibit binders must be pre-marked with proposed exhibit labels (Joint/Plaintiff/Defendant, exhibit number/letter, case number) placed so as not to cover pertinent information or photographs.

Exhibit binders must be no wider than 3 to 4 inches, with each exhibit separated by a tab labeled with the exhibit number/letter.

Counsel must ensure exhibits are redacted if needed; late redaction requests must be addressed on the record and require a new redacted exhibit marked as a new exhibit.

Photographs and CD/DVD/flash drive exhibits must be submitted and identified separately, with one photograph per page or one file set per media unless counsel stipulate to admitting all of them together.

A clean laptop must be provided for jury deliberations so the jury can view admitted exhibits on CD/DVD/flash drive.

Depositions are not marked or admitted as exhibits, and counsel must request that a deposition be 'published' during trial in order to use it.

All depositions should be lodged with the court clerks before trial along with the exhibits.

Depositions must be sealed certified copies or they will not be accepted without the Court's approval.

A paper copy of any PowerPoint presentation must be provided to the Court, or an electronic copy (CD/DVD/flash drive) if it contains embedded projections or video files.

Demonstrative exhibits are not marked or sent to the jury unless separately marked and admitted.

Courtroom equipment must be reserved in advance by emailing CourtHelpDesk or the Court Recorder (email or phone).

Counsel anticipating paperless electronic exhibits must notify the Court and email the clerks to get submission guidelines and schedule exhibit testing at least 3-4 weeks before trial.

Dept 2's Court Recorder/Transcriber, Jessica Kirkpatrick, can be contacted by email for recording and transcript matters.

Parties must arrange in advance with the Recorder to arrive early to set up and test equipment before trial starts.

All court proceedings are recorded, and civil matters incur a $40 per hour recording fee.

CDs or DVDs of court proceedings are available for $2 per disc.
